3rd Trimester

If your 1st DC came early.

Does your doctor think you will go early again?

My first son was born at 39 weeks naturally and my doctor thinks I will go before my due date...What does yours say?

Re: If your 1st DC came early.

  • My doctor has not said anything like that yet but I'm hoping I am early like I was with my daughter. She was 2 weeks early and since I'm due Dec. 23rd it would be nice if I was 2 weeks early with this one also.

  • Ellie was 17 days early and I was 2 cm dilated at my 36 week appointment.  Doc said baby could come early or I could go past my due date.  One early baby does not predict another (bummer!!!).

  • A friend of mine was about a month early with her first and her doc expected her 2nd to come very early too. She just gave birth today and was only 5 days away from her due date.

  • My first one was born at 34 weeks, my second was 34 weeks and 2 days...Here I sit 37 weeks and 2 days and I am still pregnant!  I never thought I would see the day I would actually be considered full term. I am definitely ready to have this baby...
  • My 1st was born at 35 weeks 3 days and my dr said that it certainly puts me at risk for another preterm birth, but is no guarantee.  She said each pregnancy is different and I could even go overdue.... Hopefully not though, I have it in my head this one will be early, so I am in for an especially long wait if I go to my due date.  I was 1cm dilated at 32.5 weeks, and hoping to have made more progress at my appt tomorrow as I have contractions ALL the time...
