Since we were on the boob topic, i was curious.
I had one in 2002, and there is a risk u can not breast feed. Of couse, i was 26 and single...and didn't care at all.
I don't regret it, but now i have no clue if ill be able to breastfeed.
Do any of you know if its possible?
Re: Anyone else had a breast reduction...
I wish! I hate my boobs and would give anything to be a c or a d.
I have no idea about breastfeeding. Sorry.

Thank you!! I will....its def an obscure question
this is a def prob...id be thrilled to have ANY, i can supplement w formula. Even somthing would make me happy!
I will def let u know. From the research i have done, and asking my dr. There is a chance we will make some milk, but poss not enough. So potentially u add in formula from the get go.
I'd be happy with that....some breast milk has to be better than none, right?
it depends entirely on the type of incision that was used to do the reduction and how many ducts were severed in the process.
I'm DESPERATE for a reduction, but not nursing wasn't a chance I was willing to take. DH is completely on board for these puppies gettin' gone as soon as we wean #2.

I was just lurking here to see if I could find an answer to a question I had, I figured I'd post a site for you that might be helpful- https://bfar.org/ (it's breast feeding after reduction). The site is great. I actually found it doing research years ago before I had my reduction. Incidentally, I was very concerned about not being able to breastfeed and my surgeon said that techniques have really changed so much and that most of his patients are successful to some degree. GL
