WWYD? First time being sick since having baby

I have a sore throat/cough thing that hit today. I think I'll probably stay home from work tomorrow since I know it's contagious (I got it from DH). Should I keep baby home with me so she gets fresh breastmilk (therefore antibodies to help her fight off this sickness if she gets it)? Or should I send her to grandmas during work hours as planned to minimize contact? What would you do? (she's 11 weeks old)

  • I would keep her home and nurse her. I think you're right that the antibodies will be good. Can you maybe do a half day at grandma's so you can get some rest?

  • I'd send her to grandma's so I could get a good nap, but not for the whole day. And nurse like crazy.

NURSE LIKE CRAZY!! I got sick (stomach bug) gave it to everyone in the house, except Mr. Kolby (4months old).  I nursed through out the day, but still lost my supply in the end.  Three weeks later, it is coming back some, but not enough.

I agree with Jen's post.  Send her to grandma's so you can get a nap.  But other than that...keep her with you.
