Hi ladies. My LO is almost 6 months old and pedi gave the okay to start using the jogging stroller (BOB). Of course, it's much cooler out now so I'm wondering if it will be too cold for LO. Do you jog with your LO in cold weather? What temps do you normally jog in? Do you bundle them up and take them out? I think my DS would love it, would be great to exercise and fresh air for both of us, but I just worry about him getting too cold and pedi didn't give much direction there. I stay home so I could take him out mid-day, just wondering how cold is too cold.
TIA!
Re: Too cold for baby in jogging stroller?
We just bundle DS up with his jacket, hat/mittens and blankets. If it's windy, we pull the sun screen down over him.
You could also get the rain shield for the BOB and a snow suit for LO if it gets really cold
I put my kids in a full-fleece suit (over their clothes) when jogging in cold weather (with fold-over mitts and booties). Put on a hat and put the hood up. A blanket if it's REALLY cold.
My route is also a loop around a lake near my house. I do about 3 laps, so I check on them after each lap to make sure all is well--it's less than a half mile back to the house if I have to bail.
We took my DD out in very cold weather (-15F) in a ski trailer when she was less than a year and as long as she was bundled enough (clothes + sleeping bag + hot water bottle) she was fine.
