Tag Reader? Is it worth it?

My daughter LOVES to read...is it worth it to get her the TAG for Christmas or just keep to regular books?

    I like the Tag for after we tuck DD in and car rides!  We like.  I am debating getting DS one.

    DS has one.  We got it for him when he was 3.  He LOVED it and I really think that it had a big part in him reading so early.  Once he started reading on his own he didn't play with it much, but it was worth it for the time he did play with it.

    DD loves hers. We use it a lot in the car and for after we put her to bed when she's not quite ready to sleep.

    Lucy loves it and Leap Frog occasionally has great sales online for the books.  I bought 10 a few months ago for $5 each.

    DD's been reading for a looong time on her own (I attribute her early reading in large part to her TAG), but she still really likes her TAG reader... it provides for a different experience than reading on her own. I'm a big fan.
