Sorry if this is a stupid question, but Im new to checking cm internaly. I usually just look at the toilet paper, but Ive just started tracking it on FF and want to make sure Im calling it the right thing. I've read alot of post about it, but Im still confused. I know what EWCM looks like, but not sure what the difference between watery and sticky would be. I know that sounds dumb, but my finger starts out wet, like I dipped it in water, but when it starts to dry, it gets a little bit sticky. TIA
Re: stupid question, but is it watery or sticky cm
Watery will kind of be like lube. Clear color and very smooth feeling. Sticky for me is usually clear but will crumble once you rub your fingers together. Creamy is well, creamy lol.
I have to track by checking vaginally, I can't go by the TP usually.
From Fertility Friend:
Sticky: Record your cervical fluid as "sticky" if it is glue-like, gummy, stiff or crumbly and if it breaks easily and quickly and if it is not easily stretched. It will probably be yellowish or white, but could also be cloudy/clear. You may or may not see some sticky cervical fluid before and after ovulation.
The real distinction I see:
Sticky: stiff or crumbly
Watery: a little bit stretchy
I hope this helps.
Me too.
