Who is your OBGYN?

What hospitals do they go to?

Are they supportive for natural births?

What do you like about them and what do you not like?

Dr. Cherese Collins.  This is a fabulous practice who supports a woman's wants.  They deliver at St. Anthony's and St. John's.

  • Dr. Laura Baalmann is my OBGYN.  She is with Balanced Care for Women.  She delivers at St. John's and MOBap.  She works with another doctor, Holly Kodner.  I absolutely love their practice!  It is all women and they all are so nice!

  • There's a great conversation happening at MomsLikeMe in the Natural Childbirth Group about supportive providers. Worth checking out for more opinions:

     He is totally amazing.   :)

  • I go to Dr. Misty Day.  She delivers at St. John's, but I'm not sure if she goes anywhere else.  I decided midway through my pregnancy that I want to try to go med-free, and she has been supportive of me in every conversation we've had about it.  If I had been specifically looking for a doctor supportive of natural births I'm not sure I would have landed on her, but I AM very happy with how accepting she is of my preferences and I don't have any qualms about staying with her.  Really, I don't have anything negative at all to say about Dr. Day.  I always come in with my notebook chock full of a million questions, and she really listens and answers each one thoughtfully.  I never feel rushed.  The office staff and nurses are kind and helpful too.
