Okay ladies! We're set up at Elfster.com. If you were already in the system from year's past I've sent you an email invite. If you didn't get it or want to sign up for this year, here's the link:
https://www.elfster.com/exchange/view/4037348/c43bb5/
Deadline to sign up is November 20. Exchange deadline is Dec 11 (so your bumpie can enjoy her gift prior to Christmas)! $20.00 (US) limit includes S/H. Be sure your profile at Elfster includes your bumpie handle as well as your real name and current mailing address.
You might also want to make a Wish List so whomever draws your name has an idea of what you'd like to receive (ornament, something for baby or something for you)! Let's not make this an anonymous exhange...you can include your name, etc. so your recipient knows who sent it to her!
Have fun and post pics here once your gift has been received.
Re: 2010 Hawaii Bumpie Holiday Gift Exchange
I'd love to sign up and participate, but since I'm in India... I'm not sure how that would work with shipping.
Would it be ok if I mailed a gift to someone and they could mail mine to my parent's home in Hilo?
I don't mind paying for the shipping from here, but wouldn't want anyone to pay the extra shipping cost from the US to here.
Let me know if you guys think this would work and I'll sign up.
Thanks! -jen
Yes, November 20 will be the name draw...that way folks can get their Black Friday shop on! FWIW, I always shop online for these things...super easy and sometimes I can find free shipping which means I can spend more on the actual gift!

That would work or, sometimes, I think people shop for our Non-North Americans via the internet and do it that way. For example, if I got someone who lived in Germany, I might try to purchase an item online from a retailer in that country or that ships to that country for a decent price, KWIM? But if you want your item shipped to Hilo, then just be sure to put that address in your Elfster profile.

Yeah, this is why I try to either only select items from countries that are either located in Australia or ship cheaply here (for example, I put a couple things from bookdepository.co.uk on my list because they ship free worldwide). Otherwise the cost of mailing stuff here is craaaazy! Anyway, I don't know if that's an option for you, Jen? Otherwise, I'm sure whoever drew you would be fine with shipping to your parents.
Alrighty... I'll definitely sign up and put in the Hilo address. With it going there at least I know it won't end up at the home of some Indian postal worker (like my Shape magazines did...yep, they used to steal my magazines! haha - guess they liked all the workout tips?)
Oh and Lisa thanks for the website tip! I'm perusing their selection already!
No problem! I looooove that site - books are insanely expensive here (like $25 for a mass market paperback) so I get nearly all our books from that website. They send everything in separate packages - so if you order 5 books, you get 5 parcels - which at first I thought was odd but makes the whole thing a little like Christmas: "Wheeee! Another package for ME!"
