a lot of people think infantino`s the devil but i like mine. i don`t use it often because i like to use my wrap as a purse--i tuck my keys, wallet, and phone in the front--and i can`t do that with a mei tai. i will also say that i haven`t used any other kinds of mei tais so i can`t compare. but the padded shoulders are very comfortable for me, and i have a bum shoulder. long-term wearing i think actually is *more* comfortable than a wrap, but like i said, usually i opt for convenience the thing i really love it for is very hot days; even my lightest-weight wrap is sometimes just too hot, and the w&t is perfect. also like pp said, i wouldn`t pass it on if i hated it, and a friend has mine right now because she`s intimidated by her moby for her 3-week-old. hth!
I have one and I like it (see other W&T post), but I don't like the facing out front carry with it. It doesn't seem as supportive for my big kid and it puts too much weight in from. I like it facing in, in front carry.
Oh and my kid looks so big/tall in facing out carry that he should be going to kindergarten.
Re: Infantino wrap and tie?
Love it. I have a bad hip and lower back and I find it very suppportive. I can wear DS pain free. DS likes it too.
PP, why do you not recommend the front carry?
