Not sure I've shared this, but we're 100% oop for all our treatment/diagnostic/consult costs. FUN!
Anyway, I knew the biggest initial cost would be the HSG. I had to call a few places and found one for $568. It was a clinic adjacent to the hospital, just not IN the hospital. Which, apparently, means about a $1k difference based on the prices I was quoted.
I paid $302 at my HSG. They told me to expect a bill for the balance, which would be almost $300 for the radiology fee. I got the bill and I only owe $21.36 for the balance, not $265!!!!
Apparently if you have "no insurance" they discount it. They took off $244.24 from the $568 total!!!
So at the end of the day, I'm only paying $323 and not $568!
