Parenting after 35

f/u Cardiology day

SO, Margaux has to get checkups every three months, and each time we'll revisit the surgery option.  The doctor thinks she probably won't heal up enough not to need surgery, but he wants to wait a year just in case.  So, no surgery yet!  :)

The cats are home, and freaked out but otherwise fine.  Back to unpacking!

  • I'm glad no surgery yet - and glad the cats are acting normal (for cats)!

  • ok, sounds good, and I like the fact that he wants to see her every 3 months.  sounds proactive to me.  so glad no surgery yet and here's hoping and many prayers to never ever need one at all!  :o)

  • I'm sorry she will need surgery, but glad she can wait a year.  Sucks about the checkups every 3 months, hope it's nothing too invasive.  Glad you have your cats back, that was really nice of your friends to take them and so good that you didn't have to put them in kitty jail! (board them in a kennel)  Good unpacking weather this weekend, we're supposed to get a few inches of snow Sunday night so you'll prob get rain Umbrella

  • Hi there! Just wondering what Margaux's heart issue is? Betty Jane has a very small VSD and will probably have to get an echo at her 1 year check-up. They detected at my 20 week structural ultrasound. It scared the crap out of me!
  • That sounds like a reasonable plan.  I'm back at work at Children's Hospital, and think our pedi cards surgeon is supposed to be the best, literally.  Also pretty sure he's trained most of the peds cardi surgeons in Cal from what I've heard.  Let me know if you need anything.
