Thanks for the answers to my previous post! I realize this board is really slow, but hopefully someone will read this. Where did you go to get your infant car seat inspected? We just got ours and would like to hopefully install and have it checked this week!

Re: car seat check
BRU runs police checks every so often, you could check the local BRUs and see when the next one is.
Many of the local police stations have a certified officer. I know Swedesboro did when we were pregnant. I know Pennsauken does as well.
We delivered at Virtua Memorial and they checked it too, as someone else mentioned at Voorhees.
When we had our son 3 years ago, we kept meaning to get our car seat checked. The little window on the bottom of the seat said it was in the correct position but we had no idea if it was in right or not. We finally took it to get checked at our local police station. It just happened that they had someone on call at all times who was able to check car seats.
When we finally had them check Ben's seat, he was just about 1 yr old & it turned out that the whole time we were driving with him in the car, we had the carrying bar up with toys attached so he could look at them. At the car seat check, we found out that having the carrying bar up is a big no no for safety reasons. I was amazed that nobody told me that ... I am also amazed at how many car seats I see in cars with the carrying bars up!
I would say your local police station is definitely your best bet. But get it checked out early!
