So I just brought DD over to the neighbors (he is 93 and she is 89) to meet them for the first time and I was telling them all about our summer and then he told me that he was a preemie himself! He said he weighed a little over 3 lbs. That is just crazy to me. I think about all of the medical knowledge and technology they have now-a-days and don't understand how we could be without it. Just to think of a preemie that long ago making it, it is just awesome!
Re: My 93 year old neighbor was a preemie!
Thats awesome, how amazing that he survived with so little medical knowledge of preemies back then!
Corri's pediatrician was actually a preemie; he was 8 weeks early...he is now about 60 now.
What they fail to tell us in the NICU is that preemies are like little superheros; they are way tougher than people give them credit for...Corri is definitely my little superhero!
