"little colds" honey elixer for cough?

So i just saw this at target and bought it. I haven't used it yet but it looks good. DS has had a bad cough lately so I was willing to try it out. It is non medicated and ingredients are purified water, honey, and a preservative. There is a lot of reesearch that honey is actually the best way to stop a cough even for adults when you are sick. So...anyway, I know the concern about infants and honey and am pretty sure it's over a year honey it safe. Pedi has never told me anything about honey. It says right on the front...for children ages 1-4.

What do u think? Anyone try it? How as it? linky below.

    I saw this stuff too at Target and thought it might be a good remedy next time DS gets a cold. ?Haven't tried it though. ?I have heard about honey being an excellent cough/scratchy throat remedy before actually.

    I got DS some Zarbee's this week at Walgreens, probably pretty much the same thing. He just has a little morning cough, so I have only given him a dose a day but it seems to have helped. I definitely can't see where it's hurt him. He's already 2, but I think I would have given it to him at 18mos without worry.

    I never tried it, but at DD's appt. the other day I was told honey is safe now if that helps. GL!

    It seemed to help my LO a few weeks ago, he was coughing a lot and it seemed to soothe his sore throat. Plus he thought it was yummy :)

    I used it when my son was about 13 months old, worked okay..he HATED the taste of it so I had to mix it with something. I wouldn't say it cured his cough, but it gave me piece of mind.
