I saw talk about this on the CDing and EFF boards. Thanks for posting the link. It wasn't too bad until they started talking about sposies. Did you see that she is going to try CDing for a month?
Okay, I couldn't get through the video segment because neither woman appeared intelligent or proficient on the subject. I don't cloth diaper at all, and even I know there are about 5 types of good cloth diapers that aren't from the middle ages. From the blog, I gather the 'reporter' is a mom. Initially I would have guessed that she has never even held a real live baby. I hope she has a really good nanny. I find her to be a poor writer as well.
I was so frustrated after seeing this that I couldn't even get my thoughts out. With that said, they could have at least gotten a CDing mama and they would have had a better story. And the followup blog post? Good lord.
Oye, ridiculous video......seriously 5 mins & 30 seconds devoted to cloth vs disposable?! And the fact that a disposable diaper is NOT the worst type of waste/trash out there was about all I got out of the video & that convenience is key.
Being a non-parent and watching that video even I could see how biased it was.
Now, the follow-up blog post...I'm not sure how she thought telling the internet they needed a "time-out" was supposed to calm anyone down. I also don't get why she thought she was being personally attacked for her choice to use disposables. I read through several comments to the video and the general theme seemed to be on the poor presentation of the topic, not her personal choice to use disposables.
I'm glad she's trying out CD'ing for a month, but I don't think she gets what the commenters really wanted.
Re: Diapering News Video
Here's her followup blog post:

Seriously?
