My soon-to-be 5 year old didn't have a party last year, so I really want to do something for her this year. My main issue is the number of people - if I invite her whole class, we're looking at 60 guests, which includes the parents. I can't really just invite a few kids - that's not fair, since the kids talk - and it really is a great, sweet group of kids. If I just stick to a family party, there will only be 2 kids her age, which won't be much fun for her, though she did say if she had to choose, she'd prefer the family party. Can anyone help me un-stick my mind with a great idea?
TIA!
Re: Bday party dilemma - ideas?
Does she have 1 or 2 BFF's? Either friends of the family or through school?
Could you plan something on a bigger scale but with just a couple of them?
I don't know what though. Mine would have been thrilled with just his 2 besties, a trip to the children's museum or water park and home for cake.
Does she have a special place?
What about build a bear for just her 2 or 3 besties? Not a "party" there but just buy the 3 of them bears, have fun and then out to eat lunch with cake?
And..... I credit Radine Lewis's "Infertility Cure" for finally conceiving our first son.
I hope you're out of the TTTC trenches soon.

OMG, thanks you not only for your tips, but for telling me about liking the book (and success with it!)! I'm almost 2 months into diet changes and acupuncture, and I feel great... hoping something comes of it soon...

P.S. Thinking of going the 2-3 BFFs route - unfort, her 2 closest friends are 500 miles away, but I can stick to a few close friends in the area. And I love the Build a Bear idea. Thanks ladies! =-)
