Because my company is allowing it.
I AM WEARING JEANS AT WORK!
I do not work in an industry where this is at all acceptable (it's even questionable for an after hours bowling event) but we are doing a fundraiser for United Way so I HAPPILY forked over $20 to wear jeans 5 times this month.
5 TIMES.
Jeans make me really, really happy. All puppies and rainbows fuzzy inside. I am not snarking anybody today. I'm in jeans.

Re: This is not a confession...
biitch.
My employer started permitting Friday jeans right as I came on - I was incredibly happy about it
Thumbs up woman!
wow. can i say that i can't imagine not being able to wear casual clothing to work?
i wear jeans pretty much daily. and i work in an office. heh.
if they ever change the rules i'm in trouble.
look at the birds | bless this food
that sounds awesome!
at my old job, i couldn't even wear khakis. suit pants all the time
This..as long as we dress them up.
I'm so jealous. I wish I could wear jeans at work.
Banking. We wore them bowling, but people had to ask.
We have NEVER been allowed to wear jeans until now.
And Blair, you know I look hot in jeans. You're missing out, babe. I would have worn a trendy hairband but you know, I can't afford one.
I know. Professionalism has it's place, but jeans are becoming so much more acceptable now I wish we did every Friday. November will be sweet...
Enjoy them!
I am so thankful that my company is casual - jeans, sneakers and shorts in the summer! I work for an institutional trading firm so we are not face to face with clients. I do not miss my old dry cleaning bills.
I paid $30 and have been wearing jeans since the beginning of October. This $30 United Way donation will take me all the way through the end of the semester.
I love United Way season.
This.
Same here. I'm in flip flops right now.
When I worked in an office, being allowed to wear jeans was the highlight of every Friday
Nothing made me happier than moving to a small company where I only had to dress up for client meetings ... the world was a better place then!
