I really want to get healthy before TTC again
My son was still born in July. I had an emergency C so by now shouldn't I be losing weight and going back down to a regular size? My HIPS are still round and wide, and my belly is still soft and out of shape. I started working out gradually about a month ago...(about 3-4 times a week) and I have been eating so good (not this weekend) but otherwise very good. I am trying not to be frustrated, but I still have to wear some maternity type shirts and pants...I feel big and uncomfortable in clothes and even my arms are big (I can tell cause they don't fit into my jackets, and shirts right.
I have been taking a stress vitamin, a chromium supplement, and flaxseed oil capsules daily. As well as drinking water with lemon and no soda. I feel like I should definitely be dropping weight but it is just not happening for me. I have had all my blood work done and my levels checked out fine... HELP ME!
Btw-I was 8 months pregnant when I had the emergency C...and I dropped 19 pounds about a month after that, but now the last 35 pounds are not budging!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Losing weight after still birth/emergency C...3 months ago
My condolences to your loss.
Great about the 19# lost already,, what type of workout are you doing? Doing any weights? That'll help strengthen your muscles,, and stuff. Increase the intensity,,, go 5 days,, sign up for a 10k or something, you can go to www.active.com and get free training plans too.
It'll happen.
Sorry for your loss...
I'm in the same boat with the WL. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it doesn't fall off. I would make sure you're changing up your routine and trying new things. Sometimes you just hit a plateau (like me) and maybe trying something new will activate different muscle groups. Food journaling has helped me in the past just to make sure I'm not taking in more calories than I should. Most people underestimate how many they take in..sometimes up to 500/day and a deficit of 500/day yields 3500/week=1 lb. fat. That's all good and well on other people but we're dealing with hormones for at least 8 months after labor while our bodies try to get back to where they were. GL, you'll get there. I hope we both do!
Sorry for your loss. I was 39 wks when I lost my daughter, and it was a vag delivery. I had no motivation for a long time and when I did work out it seemed like it took forever to see progress. It took about 8 months to lose all but 10-15 of the 50 I gained. I believe grieving had a lot to do with it.
Like you, I wanted to wait to TTC again since I wanted to go into the next pregnancy as healthy as possible (even thought they never determined the cause of the loss.) I was nervous during the pregnancy so working out stopped in the 3rd tri.Now I have an 8mo old and I'm trying to lose but this time I'm more motivated.(or try to b
Give yourself time and be patient. have u tried tonalin CLA? it's a type of amino acid we would naturally have more of if our protein source wasn't corn fed (cows) it targets belly fat and helps you build muscle. I used to blog about my weight loss efforts and carb addiction after the baby but since i had my son its been hard to keep up.
anytime you need to talk pm me, don't give up you will reach your goal
