  • We do direct debt/payment and just make sure there is always enough in the accounts.

  • When I get a paycheck, I pay the bills that are either due or coming up before my next check.

  • I get paid the 15th and last of the month, last pay is for mortgage, 15th is for other bills.  H gets paid weekly and he has certain bills he pays each pay.  I set up all bills through pill pay through our bank.  Any bill that needs to be paid gets paid the day our direct deposits hit.  By the time we wake up, all we really see is what we have left.

  • I have a spreadsheet that lists out the bills that are due between each pay-period, so on days like today (payday) I'll pay all the ones that are due. That way, I know exactly how much I have to "live on" for the next two weeks. I even highlight them in grey once they're paid. That way, if things are tight one pay period or I have some extra cash, I can "move" bills around and still know which ones need payment.

  • I pay bills the day before they are due.  I have our budget on spreadsheet and so I know exactly how much we've made and spent so I don't have to worry about paying when the paycheck comes.

  • I picked SS, and here's why:

We have two accounts.  One has my check, and the other has DH's check.  My 2 checks a month pay all the bills for the entire month.  DH's checks pay for daycare, gas, groceries, and anything fun.  This gives me WAY less anxiety because I ALWAYS know our bills can be be paid.

  • DH pays all the bills so if he were to answer he would say the first one- pay the bills that are due with that paycheck.
  • I pay bills on the 1st & 15th.  The mortgage & car insurance is on the first & all the other misc bills & utilities are due at the end of the month so I pay them on the 15th.
  • We pay bills as we receive them, not based on when we get paid nor the bills's due date.
