I think we should discuss each others choices :-)
Mine is Magnus Bane, he is an awesomley (yes not a word, I KNOW) flamboyant High Warlock in this GREAT series. It has a little bit of everything Warlocks, Demons, Vampires, Fairys, Werewolves...and a witty heroine in a bizarre love triangle, and a deranged parent.
I never really thought of the name before the book but after I saw the challenge it was the first name that popped into my head! Now since my post yesterday about names to go with DD, I would actually consider it for a DS.. Makaia and Magnus kinda catchy I think, could be a little to matchy though....thoughts? aaaaand GO!
Re: Siggy Challenge Names
You can't beat the meaning, and it is a very old name. I think it could work on the right boy.
And I chose AOGG. I know so many of us love it, and I'll be honest - I can't just pick one name. Anne, Cordelia, Diana, Gilbert, Blythe, Matthew and so on. Too many to choose from!
ETA: Here's a great thread on people's favorite names from AOGG

I actually really like it as I keep thinking about it haha.
I agree AOGG is one of the best series of all time, I always loved the name Cordelia, but my SO wouldnt go for it. The Laura Ingalls Wilder series is actually my most favorite, Laura, Charles,Caroline, Carrie, Mary, Rose, Eliza, all good strong names.

I chose Clarissa, the protagonist in Virginia Woolf's Mrs.Dalloway. I've always loved the book, the character, and though the name might not really be my style otherwise, I love it because I associate it with Mrs.Dalloway.
I posted it for some reason the other day, so it's been on my mind and when the topic for the Signature Challenge was announced it was my immediate thought. So, not my favorite name, but a great one and a true literary name, to boot.
Is a huckleberry a real berry? if so i want to try one!

yeah it is. we would pick and eat them all the time when i was out in montana.
I knew you would pick AOGG!
I was tempted, but my love for Edmund won out. I also was debating Little Women for Josephine and Meg as a nn for Margaret.
I haven't read AOGG in forever! I should probably reread it.
I was obsessed with Little House on the Prairie when I was little. And I sometimes still watch it. Caroline, Mary, Laura, Carrie and Grace...all great names.
I picked Theo Jaxon from The Passage. I never thought of either names for a boy until I read this book. I absolutely loved it.
So many good names were picked for this challenge!
I ended up choosing Astrid from White Oleander. I doubt I would use it for a child, but I remember reading White Oleander in high school and just being struck by how pretty the name was. I'm so sad that the Office ruined this name for so many people because I think it's gorgeous and not that common.
I had a hard time picking one, but I went with a children's series because I remember as a kid reading the Anastasia series and thinking what a BEAUTIFUL name she had.
I was a total book worm as a kid and read all the time.
I also second how awesome AOGG and Little Women are- I considered both books before choosing mine!
Oh that's funny - I read them all when I had crazy morning sickness...reading was the only thing that helped me. I love the wedding sequence and all those wonderful names!
