Has anyone dealt with this? Jack has had about 600 tests in the last few days and more tomorrow. They are thinking cholestatic jaundice is the problem.

I've never heard our doctors refer to it as this but my LO has cholestasis caused from being on TPN for so long. This is causing an increase in his direct biliruben levels causing jaundice. Is this the same thing you are dealing with? My LO has been yellow almost his entire little life. We are currently doing an experiment. I was told breastfed babies have jaundice longer so I switched to formula. He's been on it for 5 days now and I swear I see a difference already. I'm going to do this "experiment" for a week and then switch back to breastmilk. We have lab work coming up so I'm curious to see if it really did drop his levels.
I think Campbell had that (I don't remember the doctor calling it cholestatic but she had jaundice 3 months after birth due to being on TPN). She was put on Actogall.
