Ohh, thrush sucks. I feel for you. I used a prescribed cream for me and prescribed drops for the baby, since both need to be treated. So it was a doctor visit. BF got soooo much better after it was treated.

Yes, go get medicine for you and the baby. Even with the medicine it took forever for the pain to decrease and go away. I researched diet changes too because the meds didn't help all that much. Good luck.

Ugh, sorry michelle
When I had it, the dr prescribed my diflucan, and a topical cream.
You can paint your boobies and the baby's mouth with gentian violet. It's not prescription, but you need to get it from the pharmacist.
I was a martyr to thrush-- it took MONTHS to get rid of it with each kid. I recommend going to www.kellymom.com and searching for the thrush protocol.
Good luck.
