Anyone deliver at CDH recently?

Just moved to the burbs and I'm wondering about CDH since we'd deliver #2 there. We lived in the city before and delivered DS at Prentice. How is CDH? I thought it was newly renovated but after doing research it seems like that was quite awhile ago? Any info would be much appreciated.

    I delivered both my kids there. I loved it. The mother baby ward is fairly new. Less than ten years old. It is private and bright. The staff is amazing. I can't say enough great things about that hospital. Also God forbid your baby needs special care the have a children's memorial ward on site so your baby wouldn't have to be flown anywhere.

    I havent delivered yet, but will be delivering there. 

    I live about 30 min away from there, and have 4 hospitals that are either closer or about the same distance.   When I found out that the it was the closest hospital to me that my doctor went to, I was a bit hesitant because of the distance.  After doing my research, we decided to stick with our doctor and go there.  I mean plenty of people drive farther that 30 min to get to the hospital!

    Fast forward to a few weeks ago... I ended up having to stay overnight there for observation.  (was dehydrated and having contractions.. after spending the day in the ER at Edwards.. dont even get me started on that one)

    The nurses were AMAZING, the facilities great, and any doubt I had was immediately removed.  I would definitely go there.

    I just delivered there 4 weeks ago. I'm not sure when it was renovated but it's fairly new.  The rooms are nice and the hospital is very clean.  They offer tours of L&D and the Mother/Baby unit which I recommend!

     The waiting area for L&D is very small but if you plan on having a lot of people there the cafeteria is just the floor below. 

    All of the nurses were great. My little guy did spend 11 days in the NICU and the dr's and nurses were amazing. Always willing to answer questions and just explain what was going on. 

    Its a great hospital and I wouldnt deliver anywhere else.
