I was thinking earlier today how lucky I am that our REs office is literally like 1.5 miles from our house. It makes the thought of all these u/s and appointments so much easier.

I was thinking this morning that I want to go find a rusty nail to step on so I can make use of my tetanus shot that is killing me.
Then I realized how stupid an idea that was and not to worry I'd do something at some point to get good use out of it.

I don't think I've ever had a tetanus shot.
Random thought - I bought my receptionist lunch today bc she's a single mom who works hard and I know money is tight. She called in the order and picked it up for us. I just looked at the receipt (Boudin's - a sandwich/bakery cafe place) and the bill was over $28. All I got was a grilled cheese and cup of tomato soup. Apparently she got a sandwich, bowl of soup, can of soup (huh?), and a bag of cookies. lol. I guess she's taking the cookies home for her daughter and the bowl of soup home for dinner. Makes me kind of sad.

I just got a pap and check up last month. I think I'll do without the shot. I fuckinghate shots.
I got blood drawn from the life insurance people and that dumbbitch couldn't get it right and seriously took half a vial of clear/pus looking liquid before she realized she hadn't gotten my vein.
I hate shots.

I got a dTap shot a while ago (included Tetanus booster) and my arm hurt for like a week. I also got a huge bruise and the injection site swelled up. I got my flu shot today and my arm is sore. Even the hot pink bandaid isn't helping.

I've often thought how the hell I would get through any treatment cycle that required me to have to take shots. I guess you cross that bridge if and when you come to it. =s
LTF I'm trying to get work done but I'm super distracted today myself. And I totally refused work's offer to pay for a BB for me bc I know that they would expect me to answer stuff on off hours - big pass to that.

another confession: H went to the dr for the first time in at least 10 years to get the referral for his SA yesterday. When I asked him how it went he told me "The doc grabbed my nuts and gave me the referral". Apparently I have the sense of humor of a 10 year old because I laughed for a good 10 minutes after that.
Oh goodie nabum you came to play! Thanks for the good thoughts. We should meet up soon for margies and dirty fattening Mexican food soon because I'll probably be laying off it once next cycle starts. Eff me.
Glad to hear your H went to the doc and got the referral, lol. Did he make an 8 year old boy joke about how awful it would be to have to "dry rub"? Mine did. Big eyeroll. I really should have gone more in depth about what my experience on the cold big steel table was like for my HSG so he would get humbled a bit and kind of understand how much more us females have to endure. I hope all your tests come out A-OK. You know I'm here for you if you need me!

The tetanus shots now have the whooping cough vaccine in them. Everyone in CA should get one because there's a big ass outbreak.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
My last tetanus shot was in the mid 90s after a resident practically chewed my finger off at a nursing home. He then proceeded to tell me my hair was pretty.

I had mine before the 10th grade because it was required and then got the booster 3 or so years ago because I was in for a check-up and the Dr asked when my last one was.
Not a very interesting story but I wanted the post :P
