Just sent in my state disability paperwork. It has been sitting on my table giving me the stink eye for months now. I kind of felt like I didn't need to fill it out until I got closer, well I just realized I start my maternity leave in 3 weeks and Kaiser and the state still have to process it, and god only knows how long that will take. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now. One less thing to get taken care of... YES!!
Re: One less thing to do. A mini Victory!
I'm almost certain this will happen for me! I just submitted all of my paperwork, too.
My dr. gave me a dr's note for my leave and the State disability forms at the office. I just sent them off. I didn't even need to talk to someone at my work. My job will give me the FMLA form a week before I go on leave and that just needs to be completed within 15 days, but the state disability is what I was more concerned about since they are the ones that are paying me.
I feel this impending doom. One of the ladies jsut got back from leave and she said every time she got paid while on leave, it was only $200... now i'm terrified cuz she said then, they wouldn't even send her a check then, they just tacked it on to the next check. I can't afford that shiz.
