What do you plan to buy (or what do you already have) for your nursery? Originally I planned to get a glider and ottoman but after sitting on some of the gliding recliners at BRU, I was swayed. I'm just wondering what everyone else plans on doing.
I had a glider with DD and HATED it. I spent so much time in that thing, and I really wished that it reclined ALL THE TIME. This time, I'm buying a gliding recliner. It's the best of both worlds.
We bought a glider/ottoman set from Target.com, but it's still sitting in its box in the nursery, so I can't say if I'm happy with it yet. Guess that thing's not gonna assemble itself...maybe I should stop slacking...
We have a nice glider/rocker and while it's comfy, I rarely used it with kiddo. It's in our bedroom now where it gets a lot more use! I thought I'd nurse a lot in it but it was easier for me to nurse on the couch or bed. And we generally either nursed or wore kiddo to sleep so he was very rarely rocked to sleep.
We have a reclining glider in LO's room and it quickly became my favorite thing ever. We use it at nap time and bed time every single day. Not only to rock, but to read our books too.
In fact, I like it so much that we're getting a new one for the nursery instead of taking this one out of LO's room!
I am getting a glider passed down to me. No clue if I will like it, or if I'll want to use it a lot or not. But it is free and it means I don't have to buy a chair for the nursery, so I'm sold!
I have a reclining glider & ottoman from BRU, and I love it. I don't use it too much anymore, but when DS was a newborn it got used a lot. I'm assuming it will get use this time around too.

This is the rocking/recliner I want so bad. It's from Monte. We recently inherited the Monte bassinet and am in love with their entire design aesthetic. It would go so nicely with the mod nursery we're invisioning and then right into the living room later on...
I really want the Little Castle Glider/ Recliner, and put it in the living room. But DH will be the one to use it most (he's a rocking addict), and he didn't like the glider. So we're going with a small rocker/ recliner from Lazy Boy. It's not the look I want, but I won't be using it as much as he will.
I skimped the first time around with DS and got the glider ottoman. He's now three and still use it to read bedtime stories daily, but this time around top of my wish list is a recliner. I can't tell you how many late night feedings with DS I would have paid any amount of money to lean back and get some needed sleep. Definitely won't make that mistake again. My DH was annoyed when he saw the price difference, but until he's getting up and breast feeding, he doesn't get a vote, besides he's decor-challenged anyway.
We're getting a double glider recliner for the living room so we can be together and our LO. Some one mentioned they got the double one and I was instantly sold.
My parents gave us two old recliners. I LOVE those things. They have been used for years and still look great. Also, my brother and I helped break them in, literally. LOL Now they rock AND recline. Those gliders sold at BRU never looked comfortable to me. I think I'll really appreciate the giant cushy chairs.
We already have a rocking recliner downstairs in the den; our bedroom is downstairs, so I'm planning to use that the first 6 months while LO is in our room. The one we have now is leather and a little beat up, so we may get a new one in the spring. I'm getting a glider w/ottoman for the nursery, due to space and because I do like them, for nursing, for DH to feed LO, and later for stories and things like that.

Definitely suggest a reclining one!
Wishing for a glider but to save money, I actually have my grandmother's old rocking chair that I'm planning on using.
