in Pregnant after a Loss
Given my history with second tri loss PTL and possible IC, would you jump the gun and ask to be admitted now, or wait the week to see what the next u/s shows on wed. ?This is all in regards to my last post below. Quick recap: last week wed, I was firm, long, and closed holding steady at a 4.5-4.9 and yesterday my cervix was 3.9 (although I'm sure I saw it measuring at 3.5 one time and a 2.9 the second time)still closed, but softening. I have a transvaginal cerclage and no other symptoms as of yet. I will say I am terrified of losing my boys, and have placed myself on strict bedrest for the time being. I don't want to go to hospital if I don't need to, but I don't want to lose my boys either. wold you ask the mfm to admit you now or would you wait to see what the next u/s shows (original plan by mfm)? TIA

    I would definitely call. It can't hurt to see what they say. In the meantime, however, if they don't admit you, continue on your strict bedrest until your next appt. I'm sorry you're going through this.

    Definitely call and see what can be done in the meantime. I'd rather be "that girl" that calls every 5min than just wondering.

    Like PP, I'd call my doctor and have a serious discussion about your options.  In the meantime I would also continue the bed rest you've imposed.  I wish you nothing but the best.  Keep us updated.

    This is what I was going to suggest.  Definitely call and voice your concerns, but unfortunately the ultimate decision of whether or not you will be  admitted will be made by MFM.  I'm sorry you are dealing with this and will keep you and your boys in my T&Ps.  ((hugs))

    I agree with the other ladies.  Call and talk to the dr and see what is suggested.  (((HUGS)))

    I also had a 2nd tri loss and IC.  I have a transabdominal cerclage in, but as I get closer to 18 weeks and beyond you better believe I'll be calling with every.single concern I have.  Those are your babies in there and you have to do everything in your power to protect them!  You'll feel so much better once you at least talk to your dr.
