If you own an Amazon Kindle...

What accessories would you like? My mom got my dad one for Xmas, so I'd like to get a nice leather cover, etc. I see some have lights (I assumed the kindle was back-lit, but I guess not). What about a traveling charger? Is there some sort of giftcard to buy books like iTunes?

    I have a cover and that's really the only accessory I feel is necessary (I have a light too but hardly ever use it)

    You can buy an Amazon gift card for buying books

    Mine came with a leather cover. I would just buy an Amazon giftcard that way they can buy books.

    The kindle is not backlit, so a light would be nice. I have a cover without a light and I think I'd like the light better. I don't think a traveling charger is necessary unless he travels a lot in the car. The battery lasts a really long time so I've never had the need for another charger other than the regular wall charger it comes with. As for a giftcard-a regular amazon gift card will do the trick :)

    Thanks! His bday is Jan 2nd, so I'll buy the cover for xmas and a gift card for his birthday. Do you think the light is necessary? He travels a lot (usually to Europe, so long flights) and really enjoys reading. I know on the plane he can use the overhead light, but I wonder if a little accessory light would be worth it.

    I am hoping for a cover with a light (I like to read in bed after DH is already asleep) and would LOVE gift cards for more books.

    I agree with a PP that the charger probably isn't needed since the battery is awesome.  I've only had to charge twice since 9/29 and I use it on a daily basis.

    i only have a cover, and that's really all i need. the charger it comes with is pretty portable, and can go right into your computer. the light is good if you're going to read in bed while your partner is sleeping, or someplace else that's dark. you can use amazon gift cards for books.

    I have a screen protector and its great. I would like a light. It is not back-lit so it is easier on the eyes and there is no glare, it is really like a book!
    My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013! image
