Bday Planning for January

Yes I know its "early" to plan DS's bday, but! We are also holiday planning and wedding planning. SO, it makes sense to start budgeting now and plannign "where" to have his bday party. I want to rent a train, and do the face painting and balloon animal thing. But! His bday is January (mid), and its usually windy and cold.

 Would doing it at the park mid-day be good? or should we look into indoor locations?

    I think you have just as good a chance of having nice weather in January as you do any other month in Houston.  And hey it beats the heat in the middle of August!  It might be chilly but it's really rare for it to be too cold for kids to play outside in the middle of the day.  Remember kids in Minnesota play outside too!  I'd go for it.  I'm planning on having Cooper's at home (also in January) but only because it's his first, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun outside parties in the future.
    My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!

    G's first birthday (Jan 19) we had at home, outside. We had gorgeous weather. If I remember correctly we all wore short sleeves.

    This year we're going to have his party outside at home again, as long as it's not raining.

    thanks ladies.

    Our current home has a small yard so we'll have to do it at a park. I can only cross my fingers and hope its a pretty day.
