I am trying to establish a bedtime routine and I've seen lots of good comments about the FP Seahorse. How do you use it? Do you keep it in the crib, even though AAP suggest no soft toys in crib until 1 yr of age?
I am also looking at other soothers, the sleep sheep or some sort of calming projector or crib soother.
Re: XP: FP Seahorse lovers, help
DD loves hers. We start playing it when we're getting her ready for bed. It signals that it's time to quiet down. She likes to stare at the glowing belly while she falls asleep. There are two different sound settings on it so when she was very little we put it on the more quiet of the two but now that she's older we leave it on the louder one.
As far as in the crib, we usually leave it on the edge of the changing table that is a couple of feet from her crib so she can still see it. If she's really upset we will put it in the crib with her so she can really see it and hear it and once she falls asleep we take it out.
HTH!
