I'm constantly replacing pacifers during the night and naptime times 2x! It's esp. bad with my one DD! We're down to one small bottle at night that we are weening them from and most times I just have to put the binkie in and leave, but it's becoming more and more frequent! Did anyone have success with eliminating this or cutting it down? They will be 4 months next week and I don't see them putting them in themselves anytime soon, both are starting to suck their fingers, but it doesn't seem to satisfy them the way the pacifer does.
Re: Pacifer Replacements are killing me!
DS is 4.5 months and I was putting his paci back 7-10 times a night. Last night I put a stop to it! He only cried for 20 minutes at bedtime, which wasnt bad. I thought it would last longer. Bedtime is at 7pm and he slept straight through til 430am. It was nice to get a solid block of sleep! He was crying harder than normal at 430 so i fed him and he went right back to sleep ans slept til 830 this morning. Hope this works for you too!
ETA: I went in in 5 minute increments to shhh and pat him while he cried for that 20 minutes.
Thanks, I'm going to try it tonight w/DS and just let him cry as my babies also go to bed at 7pm and DS wakes around 4am for bottle (but will cry several times before than for the paci) DD will sleep until 8 or 9am. I just hope he doesnt wake DD.
