New Bras?

I am about 6 wks (either closer to just 6 wks, or closer to 7 wks)- and my bras are starting to not exactly fit right- parts of the girls just don't fit in them like they used to!

Where (what site/store) and when did you buy new bras?  I'm presuming this will be the first of a few new bra trips...

Re: New Bras?

  • I am holding out as long as possible.  I found one of my bras to be pretty comfortable (though I do have spillage) for the time being.  I'd like to wait a few more weeks and then see what they are doing.  I am considering just getting nursing bras so I don't have to keep buying new bras every 2 months.

  • For my last pg I just bought new ones at Target and found the cheapest, most comfortable ones I could.  It would otherwise get expensive since they just keep growing during pg!

  • I haven't bought any new ones (though I need to soon), but I'd look at places like TJ Maxx and Marshall's because they're pretty cheap there.

  • My bras fit me fine. My boobs are a little sore, but they aren't growing like everyone elses' on here are! I guess I'm stuck with my 34Bs for good, lol.

  • My bras not fitting is actually the reason I tested! DH and I had been trying but I decided to stop stressing about it. I was using OPKs but that was it. I stopped temping because it was making me so anxious.

I noticed that my bras weren't fitting so I went to a department store and was fitted. I had gone up one cup size but nothing in the band size. I bought a new bra and called my sister to tell her how odd that was. I have been exercising for a few months now and have actually lost body fat. I thought my chest would shrink not grow one entire cup size. My sister laughed and said, "You're pregnant. You need to take a test now." I told her that was silly and didn't think anything else about it until a couple of days later when I didn't start my period. That's when I got a BFP! My sister was right :-)

I'm just washing the new bra I have at night and wearing it everyday. I also have sports bras that I wear around the house and to sleep. I will probably buy nursing bras once my new one doesn't fit anymore.

  • I was rather large to begin with for my size (5'1" with a 32D-DD)... So I wore my old bras with built-in-bra tanktops under my work shirts for a while, but at about your stage i finaly broke down and bought 2 day, 1 sleeping and a sports bra from Motherhood.  I feel much better in one that fits right (and now no wires poking in my underarm area...

I am an DDD/F and have had to order all of my bras online for years, so I was worried that I would have a hard time finding maternity or nursing bras that would fit if I went up a cup. But I found that motherhood has them up to  G in some locations so my plan is to get a few nursing bras there once mine no longer fit. My boobs have gotten fuller, but I still fit into a few of my old bras, in fact some that were uncomfortable and I never wore are now super comfortable. So I'm going to stick to those as long as I can.

My sister just had her 3rd and she recommended not buying to many bras until a few weeks after you have the baby, and instead use sleeping nursing bras in the mean time because each time she gained another cup size after the birth of her children. So I may try to get by with as little bra purchasing as possible until June/July

I'm kind of in the same boat!  I am barely a 36 C, probably more like a 38 B, but C always sounds better.  My boobs haven't gotten bigger, just a bit fuller, and for the 1st time in my life my bras are actually fitting perfectly!

I bought bras from Target for my last pregnancy too and will probably do the same thing this time.

  • I am the same way...I'm kind of excited that I can wear a C and be really comfortable!
  • I am on the larger side (34DD pre-pg and now a 34G).  I was worried that I couldn't find anything in a store, but I lucked out at Dillard's.  However, if I was  a more popular size, I would definitely buy the least expensive thing I could find at Target, Kohls, or TJMaxx/Marshalls.

This.  I'm a full A now.  Not quite spilling out of my A's but filling them out nonetheless.

I would hate for my boobs to get really enormous, since I'm used to having such a small chest.  I'll be surprised if they get bigger than a C though.  If my boobs do start growing more during the pregnancy, I'll just buy nursing bras as well, no use wasting money on bras that aren't multi-purpose.
