Short-term disability insurance

I work for a small business that doesn't offer any kind of disability insurance, so I was wondering if anyone know any good companies that provide it for individuals that would cover pregnancy. Thanks!! Big Smile

    I have it with AFLAC but you have to have it for 10 months before giving birth. To be safe we gave ourselves11 months before starting to try. Our Due date is mid April and to get the insuranve we have to have a baby after Feb 1st.  The insurance  depends on your income. For 6 weeks mine ends up being about 2 weeks pay. I also got the hospital stay insurance which pays $500 for every day you are in the hospital. Both the short term disability and the hospital stay pay more if you have a c-section.

    Thanks! I actually called them and I have to get it through my employer and she doesn't offer anything and isn't interested in offering it either. Thanks for the reply though!! Big Smile
