VBAC

New to the Board

Hey gals, we are pregnant with #2.  I had to have a c-section with DD due to her being breech. My Dr said I have about a 75% chance to do a VBAC so we are going to try for one.  Since my Dr. is not a surgical OB i will have to change Drs at about 26 weeks to see a surgical OB.  But my dr will be at the delivery to assist and then check out the new baby (she is also our pedi)

The hospital i will deliver at has all VBAC patients deliver in the recovery room next to the OR in case they have to change to a c-section. Excited to try for a VBAC and hope it will work out but in the end just want a healthy little baby no matter how s/he gets here.

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome :)  Having a VBAC was one of the most amazing things in my life as well as DH (so he says to anyone who will listen to him lol).  Best of luck on your journey!

  • Welcome!

From what I've read, breech births are unlikely to recur. So that definitely works in your favor. I had a breech baby too. Although that actually wasn't why I had my c/s.

I hope you get your VBAC.
