Tried rice cereal w/ breastmilk for the first time tonight (lo is 5 months) and she hated it. I'm certain it was the taste, not consistency (it was totally liquidy, very little cereal). Do I just keep trying everyday, or wait a couple weeks and try again? DD #1 was a verrrry difficult eater - literally never ate any cereal or baby food and went straight to table food at 11 months old - so I'm praying I'm not in for another long & difficult road to get lo to eat something other than bm!
Re: Didn't like rice cereal
rice cereal is a waste of cals. HTH!!!!
nice to see you again! LOL
I know, I haven't been around in ages! And how are you? :-P
I know it is, I just wanted to try since I never got DD 1 to eat cereal. What "foods" do you start with, out of curiosity? I have oatmeal to try as well.
lol i smiled when i saw OU.
and good!!
i have never even tried cereal as a food for any of my kids. we skip to veggies first.
Snap....she's gone again. LOL-
I've missed you punk...hope all is well with you and the fam....the girls are amazingly beautiful. : )
DD also hated rice cereal, oatmeal was better but not great, so we started with sweet potatoes pureed with water and bm and sucess. She LOVES it. I never warmed her milk for her so she loves it cold. When I warmed it, she just looked at me like what is this crap.
fwiw: I just googled level 1 veggies and plan to introduce avocado tomorrow, followed by peas, carrots, and squash in the next couple weeks.
HTH
