DH & I will be returning from our annual Las Vegas vacation on Thanksgiving so we'll miss the holiday. No biggie for me; I'm a vegetarian anyways! I've been thinking about maybe escaping for Christmas too. Of course, my mom is all "Why?" about it, which I don't get, since we live literally 1 mile from them & see them several times a week. DH has never been skiing & I've not been in years. We could drive a couple hours north to VT or NH. I'm hoping this will be our last holiday season childless & therefore possibly our last chance to do an adult Christmas for a while. What are you planning on doing for Christmas?

Re: Christmas (I know, it's early) plans?
Right now we are planning on staying here in Auburn and just celebrating by ourselves. We may end up going to my dad's (in Minnesota) for a few days but I don't really want to.

Ooooh, a cruise! Sounds lovely; I've never been on one. Where are you going?
I'd love to do the 12 day over Christmas, but even with my discount it was $$$ and I am short one vacation day.
Looking at Western Caribbean--Key West, Cozumel, Grand Caymon. We did this one for our Honeymoon in 2007.
I get them half price. It's like our m/c treat. We did one 2 years ago too, but the Eastern one.
It's Disney, so top class and strangely the kids don't bother me.

I also love Vegas. We go every year; we were supposed to go back in August but postponed due to my lap. We're staying @ Paris. I sign up for rewards programs everywhere I go even though neither DH or I are big gamblers. We ended up getting 4 nights there for $106 total.
Nice! I've never been to Maui. I have relatives on the Big Island but airfare is horrible expensive from the east coast. It's actually cheaper to go to India than Kona or Hilo most times.
5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
Good to know. Vid loves the snow (weirdo) but he's such a klutz the thought of him on skis scares me. Thank God for medical insurance!
Both mine and DH's families live w/in 30 miles of us so we never have to travel. I love my Grandmother's food too much to skip it. I would love to learn how to ski. When DH and I were in our teens we went on a ski trip and neither one of us were any good at it. I think I made it down the bunny slope once.
Forever our's October 17th 2012
My mom is coming down for Christmas! I am VERY excited.
My MIL and GMIL are coming down for New Years which is the Russian Christmas so it works out perfectly!
