Took my navel ring out

It was kind of a sad moment for me since I have had it for 13 years, but it was starting to get really uncomfortable.  Now I can only imagine how big the top hole will get.

    DH MADE me take mine out!! Quite a few weeks back actually.  I guess if it is still open when LO comes, maybe I'll put it back in.  Hard to say.  It's just so strange to look at my belly and only see a hole, no belly jewelry. Sad

    Why not use a pregnancy belly ring? That's what I have. It was $7 and it's really long and made of flexible plastic. Mine hasn't been uncomfortable at all since I put it in! Just a thought!

    I had this in the beginning of my 1st pregnancy but when I started to get a belly it did get uncomfortable and was not worth it. If you have had your piercing for awhile it probably will not close up.

    Me too! I had a very hard time. DH had asked me to do it when we found out but I wasn't ready, I've had it since I was 18 as well. However, strangest thing seeing as I've had it for so long, about 2 weeks ago it started to get red under the top hole. I put polysporin on it but it never got better, but not worse either. Eventually last Saturday it started pinching when I'd bend over and such. I would get the flexi pregnancy one but only if it heals :/

    mine just starting getting uncomfortable last night and the hole looked stretched. ick. I never thought about this when I was 20 and got this piercing.

    I had my belly button pierced and had gotten it done when I was 15. When I was pregnant with DD I bought one of those pregnancy ones like PP said. I wore that up until about 3 days before my daughter was born and then I had to take it out because it got infected and I was on antibiotics for it.  I never put it back in. My hole didn't get very big either, I was surprised!

    I had mine for 8 years and decided to take it out at 8 weeks. Now it's so strange to see that top hole just staring at me.
