Alternative to teething tablets...

Just FYI that the day they had the recall I ordered Boiron Camilia (it's like individual liquid stuff).  I still used the teething tablets waiting for it to come and then on Friday, I gave it a try.  It works just as well as the Hyland's Teething Tablet without the belladona (if you're worried about it).

My 10.5 month old is getting her first two bottom molars in and so we will be keeping this around our house!

  • We use the Humphrey's teething strips and they work well too. They're on sale 2 for $6 as well (Walgreens I think).

Did I tell you about these?  I am kind of obsessed with them.  And thanks for the head's up.  We'll be stocking  up.  They are like crack for teething kids.

I can't remember if you did but yes, they rock. I liked them better than the teething tablets because DD was less messy with them (no white crusty stuff on her mouth) and they work better for us.

  • Just FYI that I just looked it the Humphrey strips and it has belladonna in it too.  But honestly, I think it's just a small amount and it'll take a lot to see a side affect.  The article that Rayskit had was pretty reassuring and I'm not planning on throwing away my teething tablets.

Did this work for A's 2 year molars?  We are cutting two of those monsters now.

Yep - they worked with all of her teeth.  We still had some teething hell, but the strips worked great.

  • good to know there are alternatives. This posts reminds me that I actually had a dream about teething tablets the other night! I was digging through a store's trash pulling out bottles that people had returned as part of the recall. nuts!
