SAHM/Childcare Costs

I am watching a friend's baby temporarily while she looks for childcare (she's leaving a bad childcare situation) and I'm wondering what a fair rate is. I have a toddler (18mo) of my own, she has a 3 month old. What is the going rate for this? $30-40/day?

I pay $265/week for an infant at a licensed center (and that is the discounted, new facility rate). Not sure how much you would charge a friend. GL!

This sounds like us! a friend watches M for me & she has an 18 mos old. I pay her $30 for 4+ hrs & $15 if it's under 4 hrs. (I work part time, 'on-call')
