With Thanksgiving in the air, list three things you are thankful for.

1. the health of my family. We have had a few people pass away or are in hospice lately, 2 of them my age. It makes you stop and remember how lucky we are.

2. DH and my marriage that keeps getting better and better, which is fantastic since it never was bad

3. That we have jobs. We may not like them all the time, but we have food on the table and a roof over our heads. There was a notice at school that was asking for winter coats for a family in need at the school. Again, perspective.

Life isn't perfect, but man do I have it good! I am doing my best to instill an attitude of gratitude in DD. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

1. My family - the fact that I have a son I adore and another child on the way is miraculous. Good parents, siblings and amazing husband. Our dearest friends are considered family, too.

2. Marriage that is strong and stable. Not every second of it is pleasant, but we never have doubts.

3. We can afford to pay our bills, have plenty of food and a decent house.

There are days we all need a reminder of how good it is. Unfortunately, some don't realize it until they experience some of the not-so-good days.

2. the fact H and I are giving our marriage another shot - we've had some rough times but we both want things better and are actively working to restore that

3. I am almost done with my MBA which has been a source of stress, lack of sleep, frustration, etc. and I will be proud when I am done but super glad it is behind me but I am thankful for the opportunity to pursue my education

I have many other things that I am thankful for, but these are my top three. Without family I wouldn't be who I am today. This also includes DH and his family as well. Family is family and at the end of the day your family is always by your side through thick and thin. I'm thankful for my health, DH's health, and LO's health. I hope we all remain healthy. And I am thankful for my faith. Without faith, I would have no hope. Tongue Tied

2. my marriage has it's ups and downs, but we're celebrating 6 years of marriage (almost 12 years total together) on Saturday!

3. finances may not be where we'd like it... but we have jobs and pay our bills on time and are not behind and we can afford copays if we need appts.

My beautiful family ... especially my DDs. There are still days when I cannot believe how lucky I am to have them. (Sounds corny but it's true!)
Our health. Me, DDs and DH are all healthy and thriving.
Our jobs ... DH and I both have relatively stable jobs at this point. We may not have everything we "want" but we have everything we "need"

Great idea for a poll! It's a good reminder to stop and be thankful, no matter how tough the grind can be.

1.our health: none us of us (DS, DH, or I) have significant medical issues and aside from bringing home the occasional URI, DS has never been sick at all

2. jobs: DH and I both really love our jobs and as much as we occasionally complain about the changing ways of the healthcare field, at least it's a steady field

3. supportive extended family, even though they may live far away
