question for you mommies

I am going for my 39 week appt today and they are going to scrape my membranes. I asked this on 3rd tri boards but im assuming no one knows the answer to my question since they are all still prego lol but my question is how long after you got your membranes scraped did you go into labor. Im really hoping today is the day :)

    It can still take a week or more for your LO to come but hopefully yours comes sooner. Also, be sure to check back with 3rd tri- they aren't all first timers.

    Membranes stripped at 38 week appointment, was induced at 39 weeks.  Didn't do anything this time since my body was not ready yet.

    With my daughter I had them stripped at 40 weeks 5 days and went into labor at 41 weeks.  Not sure if that was due to membrane stripping or the fact that I was 41 weeks.

    Didn't do a thing, and it hurt like crazy!

    I got my membranes stripped at 37w4d and I went into labor at 38w3d. I don't think I went into labor because of that since it was a week later. But I heard some people have went into labor that night or the next day after getting their membranes stripped. I guess it just depends on if your baby is ready.

    I have one friend who went into labor that night....another who had them stripped twice (?) and ended up being induced 10 days late.

    It all depends... My first came 5 days late on his own, my second i had my membranes stripped and was in labor an hour later, my third had them stripped and had to be induced 10 days after her due date. So it all depends on if your body is ready. Good luck it is a bit painful... But sometimes worth it.

    I had mine stripped on a Wed afternoon. Started early labor contractions that night, but didn't deliver until Saturday morning. Hard labor started Thursday night. Don't forget, though, that everyone is different--and so is every pregnancy.

    I had mine done twice... and had a c/s at 40w3d. It did nothing for me.
