To Mamaroo or not to Mamaroo?

Anybody have any experience w these?  What swing did you buy?

We have a bouncer that we got as a shower gift, but it just vibrates and it is low to the ground, so I'm thinking of getting a swing and I can't decide on one.  I keep reading reveiws.... please help!

Re: To Mamaroo or not to Mamaroo?

  • We have the mamaroo but no outside baby yet. We got it for a number of reasons including the options to mimic certain types of movements such as car, tree, swing, rock, etc, we loved the white noise feature (it's been found that babies like background noise) and also the ability to plug your ipod in. It's also electric so no replacing large batteries every 2-3 weeks, the seat is soft, very light and the base has a small footprint.

  • We have the mamaroo and my 4 week old hates it so far....but we think he'll like it when he gets older...atleast  we hope so...lol

  • I registered for it and figure that if someone wants to buy it, they can.  Otherwise, we'll stick with the cradle swing that was $25 on craigslist.

  • We have the Mamaroo and LOVE it!  Our son spends several hours a day in it and sometimes even sleeps in it for a little while at night.  It calms him down and puts him right to sleep.  I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about getting one.  I couldn't live without mine.
  • We have it, but don't love it. DS is happy enough in it and I like the way it looks. Probably could have saved the $200, though, and just went with the bouncy seat we have since it's easier to move from room to room.
