I would count it as a 7oz bottle.. i just recently switched from the concentrate to powder too. how is your LO taking it? mine was a bit fussy yesterday but seems better today. Mixing the powder properly is just a pain in the ass. the concentrate was just so much easier.
DD seems to be doing well with it. Our pedi said the powder is gassier than the ready-made, so we waited until she was really out of her gassy/colic phase. It did change her poop though, for the better I think. Sorry if it's TMI, but her poop went from dark brown, stinky, runny (on the ready-made), to yellow, thicker, and hardly any smell (on the powder).
6oz, although the volume will look/be more they are still only getting 6oz worth of formula. Plus right when you make it the formula tends to bubble, if you let it sit for 10-20 or so min it will settle back down and most air bubbles will be gone. I try to do this with every bottle to reduce the air bubbles.
Re: Formula Question
it actually counts as 6.6 ouonces.
each scoop adds .2 ounces. each OUNCE is 20 calories. 6.6 ounces- 132 calories, not 120 (which would be 6 ounces).
at least that's how it is with enfamil.
