Re: PG-Mom-TTC check in

  • First I have to start off by saying that I hate not being around like I used to!  I do try to lurk as often as possible, but usually don't have time to post or reply.

Week #2 of work is already much better since I worked from home yesterday.  It really makes the transition back to work week so much easier!  I am never giving up my Mondays at home now.

Caroline continues to get bigger and more fun.  She tries to pull herself up now and is such a good little sitter.  I think she has also finally figured out how to smile for the camera.  She used to just stare at it but now it's as if she knows what I want :)  I'm still waiting for full on laughing other than just the cute little squeals.  I think that's going to be so fun!

Tracey & Dana- hang in there!

Best of luck to our TTCers.  I can't wait for some more announcements!  It was around this time last year that our board blew up with BFPs.

  • Loading the player...
  • I had another ultrasound on Friday and a follow up Dr appt today.  The placenta has moved out of the way!  i'm off restrictions and am very happy that I don't have to have a (planned) c-section...though I know this is out of my control and I may still need one.  I'm just happy for the opportunity to try to let nature move things along :)  AND I only gained 1 pound from my last appt 4 weeks ago!  Kate was 2lbs 2oz and is measuring right on track!

    Good luck to the TTCers!

  • My baby is 6 months old on Thursday!  I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  I put one of my favorite of his pics in my siggy from his 6 month shots.  Drew just left for his last rotation on this project so we're in a holding pattern as to where his next job will be and hopefully we'll get another 28/28 day rotation so he gets to spend a month at a time home.

Good luck to all the TTCers!!!  And it will all go so quickly you ladies who are due soon!

  • Glad things are easier at work Natalee, I promise it will continue to get easier.

:::::baby, sticky, and labor dust to all our mommas:::::

not much new here, Elizabeth had a blast Trick-or-treating. I can't post pictures because our Internet is out- AT&T is supposed to fix it today, so I'm exiled to my phone. We did a photo shoot last week at the pumpkin patch too, so I have a ton of pics I'm dying to share.

  • Thanks Natalee!

Lots of kicking and moving around. Getting uncomfortable, but it's all getting so real that this kid will be here before we know it. We got everything moved up to the nursey and starting to organize it all. DH is really pitching in around the house and I've started trying to figure out meals we can freeze in advance. I also order fabric today to make the crib skirt since I can't find one I really love online. Next week is the 36 week check in and u/s - - can't wait to see the baby.

Good Luck Tracey (thinking about you!) and to all those TTCers! :)

  • *Baby dust to those TTC* *Sticky Dust*

Aislyn is starting to be better at tolerating tummy time.  She is actually starting to put up on her arms to look around.  I have a feeling she will be rolling over soon since she is getting onto her side lately and just staying like that.  She also loves to motor boat, including when I am nursing her, and that is painful.  DH is out of town on buisness so I am staying at my parents.  It is great since they have no problems helping me out, so I can actually take a bath, have a nap, whatever.  My mum even offered to sleep in the room Aislyn is in tonight so that I can sleep all night and if she woke up mum would feed her.

  • Briley seems like she is getting so big. She is crawling/scooting all over the place. She also pulls up and loves her walker. She talks and sings all the time and waves to people. She already seems more like a girl and less like a baby.
  • My first official OB appointment is tomorrow morning.

Also, I want this to be me. All. Day. Long:

    asleep

I honestly went to bed at 7:30 last night and had a hard time waking up at 7:30 this morning. And now all I want to do is go back to bed. 3 more hours until I can go home.

  • DH is still OOT and this house is upside down with birthday preps going on!  I can't believe by the next check in, I'll have a one year old.  So surreal!

Good luck to all those TTC's and sticky dust to all those newly pregnant!

  • Reese rolled over for the first time on Thursday. She did it two times in a row, but then hasn't done it again since. We are taking her on her first flight this week. We are headed down to FL for my nephew's 1st birthday party (& a GTG with Nel & Gianna!). Hopefully she will do well on the plane. She has not been a very good sleeper for the past 2 weeks. I feel like we're going backwards. I can only imagine how flying to a new time zone AND a time change are going to affect her!
  • I am getting more excited about the baby, especially when I see how great DH is with kids. We changed our plans and ended up spending the Halloween weekend at our friends' place in Vail with two other couples and their broods. All the kiddos LOVED DH. The were climbing all over him like a jungle gym, and we woke up both mornings to little voices yelling, "Where's Peter?" One of the boys looked like a carbon copy of DH, same haircut and everything. I kept getting warm fuzzies seeing the two of them together. He's going to be a great dad.

I blame this blatant sentimentality on the hormones.

  • Carson was born October 28th. Everything went great with the birth and our little man is doing great. BF is harder than I imagined but we are making progress. i will update more when Im not posting from my phone. I will also post pics.
  • Z officially turned 1 and a half yesterday...I can't believe where the time went!  Of course that also meant getting his 18 month shots which we did today.  He used to be oblivious until the needle actually went in but now he is old enough to know what is coming.  He started crying as soon as we walked into the exam room Sad

  • 11 weeks to go here. We are finally making headway in the nursery. I'll PIP when we are done. I'm having a hard time sleeping due to hip pain when on my side and my hands/arms keep going numb. I'm gonna ask the Doc tommorrow about that. Lots of luck to our TTCers!
  • **Baby dust** to all of our TTC's!!!

Things are going good here! Had our first appt & it went fabulous!!! We told our parents and siblings tonight and they are all soooooo excited!!! Great great day today :)

  • Things are going good as far as the pregnancy part goes. My back and ribs hurt pretty much all the time, but I stand for 8 hours a day at work so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm dealing with some personal stuff, we are all fine, but I really just need strength to make it to Christmas at this point.

My first shower is Sunday, and the second is the following Saturday. Good times to look forward to.

Best of luck to those TTC!

  • Gianna is scooting all over the place so I see actual crawling in her near future! If all goes well and Dani and Reese are not too tired from their flight we will be having a GTG on Thursday with them!! So exciting!!

Wow!  Congrats on the new arrival!

On thursday my daughter turns 4.  Actually makes me a little sad since it seems like she was just a baby.  Her birthday list was very cute(and reasonable) A camera, tinkerbell doll, and a hello kitty movie. (Her age can be changed on the list to 4-thanks!)

  • Nia is turning into such a character! She'll be 3 months next week and is constantly wanting to be in the middle of action. We take her out and about in the city a lot and she squeals until she's held upright and can see everything especially when we're at the grocery store. She's caterpillar scooting and can get from point a to point b which scares us so we definitely have to keep an eye on her. Also, I think it's time we move her from her co-sleeper:
