I was having a good day...

My day today was awesome- I got lots of new maternity clothes for only $40 from consignment stores and I was really excited. Then my doctor's office called and said my results from the 3 hour GTT came back and I have GD! Now I am worrying like crazy! I thought I was going to be safe since my 1 hour was only off by 4 points, guess I was wrong. I am really just worried about my baby and what kind of effect this can have on him/her. I have been doing research and have found things about what can happen if you don't control GD, which I know I won't have a problem doing for the sake of me and baby, but I don't know if these risks still apply even if I can control it. Ahhh, great! I have been such a worrier this whole pregnancy...this is not going to be good!

    I'm sorry you have GD.  You really can't predict who's going to have it and who isn't.  Don't worry too much about the baby.  That's why they test us when they do before we can do any damage to ourselves or affect the baby too much.  Now you know and you can do what you need to do to continue to have a healthy pregnancy.  I'm sure it will all turn out ok.  Good luck!
    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...
