Hi Ladies - I'm looking for an OB in the Reading / Woburn area that delivers at Winchester hospital. My OB from my first pregnancy is no longer practicing in the area, so I'm stuck looking for a new one. I'd kind of prefer a female doc, but will consider a man. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Or does anyone have experience with the docs below? They are on my list.
Judith Carpentier; Danielle Vitello; Teresa Bose; Shannon Fullerton; Debra Knee; Sujatha Rajan; Christiannah Waters; Anne Wold; Maryann Millar
TIA!
Re: OB recommendations that deliver at Winchester Hospital
Congrats! I loved both experiences at Winchester. My husband does a lot of work with Vitiello and recommends her to many of his patients. I went to Millar for baby #1, and was REALLY unhappy about excessive waiting times for appointments (e.g., for my 1st visit, I waited 2 hrs for a 10 am appt and didn't even get to see when they were able to take me; I saw the nurse practitioner (who was great)). For baby #2, I went to Burlington OB and saw Marc Freedman; never had long wait times there.
Best of luck with everything!
He was my OB also. Great experience throughout the whole pregnancy. I'll be honest, at first I was iffy about him. I went to the first appt with my husband, and it seemed like even though I was asking questions he would answer them to DH! That bothered me. A lot. But after a while, I warmed up to him. He is such a sweetheart! I recommended him to my sister who has also had a good experience with him.
Winchester hospital was very good also. Wonderful nurses and lactation specialists.

Thanks for the input ladies. I ended up getting an appointment with Dr. Druga who is with Winchester OBGYN Associates. All of the other docs with the practice were "full" for OB patients for my month. I agree about Winchester hospital. Overall a good experience and the nurses were wonderful!
If anyone has any experience with Dr. Druga, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
Hi, We're seeing Dr Druga. So far, so good. I don't think we've waited in waiting room more than 10 minutes. Kim (np) is great. Dr Druga answers all our questions (we're first timers) and a friend who saw him for her twins said that he would likely be the one to deliver. He is not presuring us with birthing plan or flu shots - presents the information and lets us decide.
I totally missed that you picked a doctor so ignore my post! I've had friends who have liked Dr. Druga, I think he delivered some of my friends' babies even though he wasn't their OB.
I live in Reading, will deliver in Winchester, and see Dr. Glen Dixon in Stoneham. I really, really like him, and I especially love his female nurse practitioner. A good friend of mine sees Dr. Carpentier and likes her but felt that she had a colder bedside manner (something that didn't bother my friend, but I knew I would not like).
Good luck!
I go to Dr Druga and highly recommend him. This is my second pregnancy I think at some point I have seen every Dr in the office and like them all.
This is good to hear. Dr. Bose in that office actually delivered DD, but I only saw her for a very short time and wasn't too impressed. Granted, it was 4:30 in the morning and she was at least 8 months pregnant herself, so maybe I'll give her a second chance.
Thanks all for the input!
I had Dr. Bose and LOOOVED her. My aunt is the Director of Nursing/Maternity at Winchester and SHE actually recommended her as the BEST. I have heard great things about Dr. Druga too-he is the head of the department and is very experienced, but I wanted a woman:) I ended up with a c-section, and Dr. Dixon ended up doing the surgery because Bose was at the end of a 24 hour shift. He was awesome too..
Dr. Bose makes you feel important, and takes her time with you.You won't feel like just a number. PS...I must have been there when you were, because Dr. Bose was pregnant when I was too
Wonder if we ever passed by one another
Good luck!
