Prenatal vitamins - free at Meijer

I've been paying for my prenatal vitamins, and just learned they're free at Meijer!  Holy cow.  I know I'm a bit slow to catch on, and am fairly new to the boards here, but thought I would post in case there's someone else out there who didn't know about this Meijer program.  The pharmacist told me this morning to get a new script that says "free prenatals" and Meijer will fill the script for free from one of the 5 kinds that are in the program.

  • I take the Prenatal Plus from the free program at Meijer. It's a great savings!! (and bonus because they don't make me sick at all!)

  • They actually offer some antibiotics for free too. I dropped off a script for some penicillin-based antibiotic, and they told me that was free too.

  • Sweet about the antibiotics.  Apparently I have been living under a rock.  Smile

  • Did you literally just ask your OB/GYN to write a script for free prenatals? Or a specific brand that is free at meijers?
  • I think it's only free for prescription pre-natals. When I called my midwife office they told me I needed to take RX PNV (not sure why) and offered to call them in to meijers (which is where I usually go anyway).

  • Yep, I asked my dr to call in a script for the free prenatals at Meijer.  They knew exactly what I was talking about and I also ended up with Prenatal Plus and had no problems.  The only thing my dr suggested was that I also take Expecta since the free ones don't have DHA (at least Prenatal Plus doesn't).
  • Ditto on what others said.  Just ask doctor for a script for prenatals.  They don't have DHA so you have to get that separate.  CVS has deals on those buy one get one free so i stocked up.
