Made amends and SIL baby name reveal

A couple weeks ago my SIL called and after playing phone tag for days we finally talked for the first time in 2 years. We talked about her pregnancy and she asked what I experienced during my pregnancy (besides her rudeness) and how Addison was doing. We decided not to re-hash the events that took place but she did apologize profusely for everything that occured. She said that we have too many good things to look forward to and that she wants to be a good aunt to Addison and for our lives and relationship to get back to what it was before everything happened.

I forgave her...DH says I'm too much of a softy but life is really too short to hold onto anger and resentment and for the sake of my Mom and brother I'm happy that this is now "in the past"

Their daughter will be named Emerson and is due Thanksgiving weekend.

Very cute name, different enough from Addison, but still kind of in the same vein. I'm glad she was able to overcome and realize that family is family...I'm so glad you can share that relationship again.
