Birthing classes

So I am researching birthing classes, not that this is my first child, but I want it more for my bf, who this will be the first time hes been to a birth (he had to work when our dd was born for RNC).

I found a GREAT birthing class "Labor Support & Comfort Measures" at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater  for 20$ (which isnt too far for us), but my Dr doesnt deliver there..... Do I have to deliver at the same hospital that I take classes at? Ive never actually taken classes before, so this is new to me. The hospitals that my dr delivers offer classes, but they cost up near 100$.

Re: Birthing classes

  • You can take classes wherever you want.

  • We are taking ours through Fairview hospitals. It was $100 for the class we chose.

  • Yea 100$ seems to be the standard cost, but I only really want to know some new/more pain relief techniques, and we only have basically one day to do them bc my bf's work schedule is so everywhere most of the time.... And Lakeview Hospital has like ala carte, where we can go to one thing one day, and only pay 20 vs paying for a bunch that we cant guarantee we can both go to.
