Hi All!
I was just curious if anyone else's LO doesn't move around much.  I read where a lot of people say that their baby moves nonstop but I only occasionally feel him.  I went to the doctor last Friday and everything is okay, along with having a non-stress test done 2 weeks ago.  That came back okay too.  I just wish he would move around more so that I know he's doing okay.  Please tell me some of y'all experience the same thing and I'm being a worry wart over nothing...
Re: LO Not Moving Much
it's funny you posted this because I have the same concern! ...i have my dr. appt in 2hrs so i was going to express my concern to her.
I really only feel LO in the morning...occassionaly in the afternoon and at night ...but other than that I don't really feel him much ...i'm on my feet all day so I think it's because he is either sleeping or I just don't pay attention to his kicks and jabs.
I get worried about that too. Are there certain times in the day where LO moves no matter what? Like mine moves every morning at 6:30am and wakes me up. If he didn't move in the morning at 6:30 I would call the doctor, because it has become that regular. If I get nervous I eat a little snack, drink some water and lay on my left side til I feel him move. And, he moves when I lay down for bed. Plus, if I am nervous I just pay attention more and I usually notice movement more. I think I just ignore the movement sometimes.
I am sure everything is fine.
Whew, so glad I have you ladies. I ask friends and they freak me out even more by saying, "You should be feeling him all the time!!!" He really doesn't have a pattern though.
Then I read these weekly emails I get that say LO is around 15.5 inches long and I think to myself, "Why can't I feel him when he's that big?!" Hopefully this means he will be a relaxed baby!
5lbs 9 oz, 18.5 inches long
6 months: 16lbs 15 oz, 27 inches long
My LO is the same way!
OP - has your doc mentioned the position of your placenta by any chance? I off-handedly commented during an u/s 2 weeks ago that I wasn't feeling any of the movement we could see on the screen, and my doc nonchalantly replied with "Well, that's probably because you have an anterior placenta... haven't I mentioned that before?" LOL So my placenta muffles a lot of LO's movements, apparently.
LO moves pretty frequently for me, but i have noticed she has pretty much set her own "schedule" already. I feel her the most when i first wake up in the mornings and then thru out the afternoon on and off till about 6 or 7 and then i dont feel her hardly at all.
Today, however i have not felt near as much movement from her. i just figure she's having a lazy day. Seems to be a lazy day for the entire household!!! lol. Rainy day here!
